Position Summary

As a Social Media Manager, you will be expected to be up to date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express our company’s and client’s views creatively. Ultimately, you should be able to handle client’s social media presence ensuring high levels of web traffic and customer engagement.

You will be responsible for creating original text and video content, managing posts, and responding to followers. You will manage our company and client’s image in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing goals.

Responsibilities include
(but are not limited to)

  • Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies to align with business goals for clients
  • Oversee day-to-day management of social and digital campaigns and ensure brand consistency
  • Facilitate scaling brand and company awareness through various social media channels
  • Work with brand to create and implement social media strategies monthly
  • Ensure brand consistency in copy through tone, voice, and terminology
  • Create actionable plans to both grow and maintain followers through popular social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, and LinkedIn
  • Ensure progress on all platforms by using analytical tools such as Google Analytics and others
  • Draft and oversee the creating and implementation of the monthly editorial calendar
  • Define most important social media KPIs
  • Manage and oversee social media content
  • Measure the success of every social media campaign (reporting)
  • Stay up to date with latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Use social media marketing tools such as Buffer, Hootsuite etc
  • Work with content planners, copywriters, and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing
  • Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization
  • Train and support juniors in the team
  • Manage client relations from a social media point of view
  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
  • Strategically advise on Google and digital ads for campaigns and work with digital partners on execution
  • Retain and grow social media clients and accounts

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in marketing, communication studies, journalism, creative writing, social and digital media or similar
  • 4+ years’ experience
  • Social Media Strategist using social media for brand awareness and impressions
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices
  • Proficient using multi-social posting programs such as Hootsuite and HubSpot
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites
  • Ability to manage and supervise a diverse group of employees and simultaneously work toward many company initiatives at once
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics
  • Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research
  • Good understanding of social media KPIs
  • Familiarity with web design and publishing
