Position Summary

Our Content Planner & Writer will be responsible for planning, designing, creating, editing and publish relevant content based on client’s business objectives and user’s needs. You will develop a content strategy that conforms to and sets out to achieve business and client goals. Ultimately it will be your duty to ensure that content aligns with the brand and adds value to existing and prospective clients.

Responsibilities include
(but are not limited to)

  • Produce well-researched content for publication online and in print
  • Organize writing schedules to complete drafts of content or finished projects within deadlines
  • Utilize industry best practices and familiarity with the organization's mission to inspire ideas and content
  • Follow an editorial calendar, collaborating with other members of the content production team to ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Develop related content for multiple platforms, such as websites, email marketing, product descriptions, videos, and blogs
  • Write clear marketing copy to promote our products/services
  • Prepare well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems
  • Proofread and edit blog posts before publication
  • Coordinate with pr and design teams to illustrate articles
  • Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
  • Promote content on social media
  • Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
  • Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images, and tone)
  • Update website content as needed
  • Research industry-related topics and identify gaps in content
  • Write original copy for ads and social networks alongside the social media executives and coordinators
  • Prepare articles that tell our client’s company and product stories
  • Publish articles on websites and newsletters for clients and the agency
  • Liaise with Designers to enrich text with visual aids, like images and charts
  • Oversee reports on content (e.g., weekly, or monthly)
  • Interview clients, industry experts and internal teams
  • Monitor metrics related to our content, like web traffic
  • Ensure all content is up to date according to client SLAs
  • Assist in optimising workflow to ensure the adoption of efficient processes
  • Manage workflow and providing expertise on a variety of writing projects

Qualifications & Requirements

  • BSc in Marketing, English, Journalism, or related field
  • Proven record of excellent writing demonstrated in a professional portfolio
  • 5+ years’ experience
  • An impeccable grasp of the English language, including idioms and current trends in slang and expressions
  • Ability to work independently with little or no daily supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to communicate with clients, colleagues, and management
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with different objectives simultaneously
  • Strict adherence to the style guides of each company and their policies for publication
  • Good time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary
  • Proficiency with computers, especially writing programs, such as Google Docs and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
